''Updated 2020.11.08'' Hey! I'm DJ Peter from Eksjö, Sweden. Contact info: dmkonsulten@live.se, +46 706563029. I'm a DJ since 1985 and still enjoys it very much. For the last couple of years I've been fortunate enough to have DJ'ing as my full time job, doing +200 gigs a year. I adapt my mixing according to the genres and expectations from the crowd, but I always try to build an atmosphere that take my audience to some kind of euphoric happiness. Straight forward mixing doesn't leave much room for errors but when it's tight. it's beautiful. I like progress and I embrace new technology as long as knowledge and skill is what's behind the use of it. Here, I can listen to all your nice uploads and get inspired to learn new stuff. I play a lot of funk/soul/disco originals and only manual mixing does it as you have to ''feel'' the mixes to get 'em right. That's why I never use sync 'n' rarely the quantize function.
All my mixes are made in one take. No editing. I prepare my music, not my mixes. What you hear, is what you can expect to hear when I play live. Unless something critical happens, I don't restart the recording. Some people don't agree with me in this, but for me to do it in another way, would be like cheating to my customers. So yes, there will be errors once in a while and that's how it is. There's no start overs in real live gigs, and that's what I practice for. You who take your time to listen to my mixes here, are just as important to me as the crowd in a venue, so I put the same focus in my mixes as I do on live gigs.

Missing: 2 Technics 1210's with Ortofon Stylus nightclub
Most of my gear are also used in various DJ workshops, and I'm old enough to see the sentimental value of the gear I've been using over the years :) . Every piece bring back memory's of long gone clubs and people I've met and got to know.

Thanks Pete also listening to your latest mix and i have to say Im liking what i hear I have done a few funky sets myself and agree it does get noticed. I drop more commercial tracks but not favoring that to the underground its the vocals that i love i get bored to easy with tracks that have no vocals unless the track is crazy tbo i just dont like anything that repeats to much or over progression keep it lively keep it interesting and give the floor something to talk aboutI do have a YT Chan but dont bother or should i say have the time. I work mad hours and spend my spare time with kids or misses but shes a dj to so its great oh please follow her i have just got her on here shes a vocalist and dj and runs a monthly radio show multi genre
Sounds like a perfect match . Since I got fiber connection installed I now have the possibility to upload anything anywhere without concerning about locking down the internet for everyone for a day or two at home. Was not popular at all. Now when a mix is recorded all I do is add the cover and track list and the time to upload is 25 minutes no matter the size. Im actually putting less time in the mixes now. Which is good because I do almost 120 live gigs this year and the music Im requested to play is usually quite commercial in all kind of events for people of all ages all over the south of Sweden. The music I love and promote unfortunately doesnt score any points where I live and doesnt lead to more gigs. This is what i use the internet for. I consider myself very lucky .

The years go by so fast when the kids grow up. Take care and hang on to every moment. My boys are 20 22 23 and my daughter is now 14. Played at her first DJ gig 6 months ago and again a few weeks ago. Proud dad. And yeah dad is getting his own time back a bit more every day .
